REACH Peer Education
Responsible Education & Action for Campus Health is a student based peer education program at the Tampa, that encourages responsible decision making and informed choices. University of South Florida,
REACH Peer Educators (PEs) are trained to educate other students about the facts on health and wellness through interactive, high energy presentations and programs on various health issues and challenges USF students face. Topics include sexual responsibility, alcohol and other drugs, and general health concerns.
REACH Mission
The mission statement of the REACH Peer Education program is to promote and support the mission of Student Health Services & Health Promotion by encouraging positive lifestyle choices through responsible & informed decision-making.
REACH Goals
-To educate students about the facts on health and wellness issues, including sexual responsibility, STIs (sexually transmitted infections) alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, communication skills, sexual assault, body image, and general health concerns.
-To encourage responsible decision making and increase students’ self-esteem, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills.
